In this embroidery design, an artist of our studio depicted a very recognizable Chinese symbol: a tiger, a dragon, and yin-yang. The colors of the threads were carefully selected so that they match each other well.

It’s no secret that the dragon and the tiger together represent the unity and confrontation of the two forces. This symbol is more than a thousand years old.

In East Asia, the dragon is Yin, which embodies the feminine principle and is associated with the moon, earth, death, darkness and the north. The tiger is Yang, the embodiment of the male principle and the meaning of the sun, sky, life, light and the south.
