Venetian Mask Embroidery Design, 7 sizes

Having appeared several centuries ago in Venice, these characteristic masks were made of papier-mâché and were abundantly decorated with fur, fabrics, precious stones and feathers. Over time, the masks became a symbol of Carnevale (Venetian Carnival) – a lavish procession or street fair, praising hedonism.

This stylish embroidery design is an exquisite representation of one of these masks. We used tatami filling elements with different gradations of color to emulate lighting and black satin stitch lines various effects to make it more sophisticated.

The use of several layers of backing is preferable.
