Description:
Tangaroa was considered the god of the water element and of all the inhabitants of the ocean – fish, reptiles, marine animals and other creatures. He was considered an original being, that created himself, dwelling in the darkness in the cosmic shell (or in the cosmic egg). In some versions of the story, Tangaroa created heaven and earth from two halves of the shell.
This is a fairly detailed embroidery design that depicts a rendition of this strange Polynesian god. The design consists of many elements created with the use of various techniques. The most intricate part of the design is the headdress at the top and oval ornaments in the middle, created with the use of run stitching.
You can embroider this design on a fabric of any density since it’s not that complex.
Included 3 sizes:
-7″ x 3.8″ (177 x 95 mm) – 11 740 stitches
-10.1″ x 5.4″ (257 x 138 mm) – 17 570 stitches
