In Greek mythology, Zeus is the supreme deity. He is the almighty father of the gods, the lord of the winds and clouds, and rain. He caused thunder and lightning, storms and hurricanes with the blow of his scepter. But he could also calm the forces of nature and clear the sky of the clouds.

Being “the father of people and gods”, Zeus was a formidable punitive force. At his command, was chained Prometheus, who stole a divine fire for people to the rock. He sent a flood to the earth and unleashed the Trojan War, punishing the human race for wickedness.
