Koi is an artificially bred carp species from Japan, which, unlike ordinary gray carp, have a bright and unusual coloring, often golden.

Carp swims against the current, that’s why this fish personifies perseverance and strength. In general, the koi symbolizes struggle, willpower, overcoming difficulties and achieving goals.

This original embroidery design is somewhat complex and elaborate. We used many alternating types of stitches to digitize it. That’s why it is recommended not to stitch this design onto thin fabric.
