Ian Curtis

Ian Curtis is often called one of the greatest lyricists in rock history. Having a somewhat gloomy and dark outlook on the world, he explored the themes of alienation, the strangeness of the modern society and communication in somewhat abstract and ambiguous lyrical style. Ian had a remarkably deep melancholic voice and a good ear for potentially hit songs, which helped his famous band “Joy Division” to become very famous.

In this embroidery design, we portrayed Ian just as he was captured in one of his many photos. We utilized quite diverse embroidering techniques to make the design look as if it was a had draw sketch.
