This is a very atmospheric embroidery design that pictures the head of a wolf that is looking at the sky. The depiction of the wolf’s head is accompanied by an image of a Native American spiritual talisman or dreamcatcher. These two symbols – a wolf and a dreamcatcher are very ancient and common among Native peoples of America. They were considered to provide a spiritual protection from evil and guard people during their sleep.

The design was digitized using mostly run stitching approach. It was the most fitting method to depict the fur of the wolf and the feathers beneath the dreamcatcher and capture the otherworldly feeling that should surround this image.
